FKM is a pioneer and innovation driver for powder-bed-based laser beam melting (Laser-Powder-Bed-Fusion, LPBF) in Germany and Europe. Since 1994, we have been committed to innovation: With the revolutionary possibilities of additive manufacturing, we are changing products, processes, companies and entire industries. Where tool and mold making used to determine the design rules, additive manufacturing has established completely new design and manufacturing processes with selective laser sintering (SLS) and selective laser melting (SLM).

But our claim “Quest for Innovation” goes even further: We at FKM are convinced that the possibilities of 3D printing are far from exhausted. In both the plastics and metal sectors, there is still a lot of untapped potential that needs to be developed. FKM – Wide range of 3D printing services
Our range of services is already in our name: FKM stands for functional components made of plastic (German: Kunststoff) and metal. In doing so, we attach great importance to the term “functional”. We supply ready-to-use components that are precisely tailored to your tasks. For this purpose, we have a wide selection of high-quality plastic and metal materials in our range for the SLS and SLM powder bed processes. Our 3D printing services also include advice on 3D printing-compatible component optimisation as well as a wide variety of surface finishes.
FKM – Technology and quality at the highest level
Thanks to a leading machine park of industrial large-capacity powder bed systems in Germany and Europe, both large components and large quantities can be delivered within a very short time. Of course, we also supply small components with batch size 1.
Quality assurance, including our in-house testing laboratory, is also part of our competence, which, in conjunction with a quality management system certified according to ISO 9001 and IATF 16949, ensures our pursuit of the highest and reproducible quality.
Production Partners and Outsourcing
We are happy to be available as an outsourcing partner for other 3D printing service providers, for example when it comes to particularly tricky components. Our flexibility and capacity also allow us to accept large and large production orders on the fly.
New things are created when people talk about their ideas. Especially when it comes to complex tasks that require innovative solutions. That’s why we continue to use the telephone in our daily contact with our customers for clean order preparation. Direct 1:1 exchange often leads to better solutions faster than filling out online forms. Our customers know and appreciate our direct, personal and solution-oriented work very much. In addition to 3D printing in plastics and metal, we also offer a large number of surface technologies for the finishing of 3D-printed components from a single source. Since our foundation, we have also been working closely with two specialized companies to ensure the highest product quality: In cooperation with Henkel Modellbau GmbH and Gießerei Blöcher GmbH, for example, we guarantee the mechanical processing of our AM components at the highest level.
Partnerships
For products with maximum added value, we also rely on close and trusting partnerships with specialized companies. In the field of rapid tooling, for example, we work intensively with iQtemp GmbH, which specializes in the development and construction of conformal temperature control. This partnership results in an enormous competitive advantage for the customers of both companies, which translates into faster, more efficient, higher-quality and ultimately more economical production.
