New at FKM: PA 613 in 3D printing
In order to be able to offer even better component quality, we have replaced the classic PA 6 plastic powder with a further development that combines the best properties of PA 6 and PA 12: Components made from the new material PA 613 are mechanically more stable and more resistant to chemicals and moisture than parts made from PA 6 and PA 12. Their melting temperature is also higher, which has a positive effect on their fire protection properties, particularly for interior components in the automotive sector.

Fields of application for 3D printing PA 613
PA 613 is a good choice for the production of functional prototypes with high strength and rigidity. The material is also ideal for ready-to-install components in the automotive, aerospace and medical industries. It is also suitable for the manufacture of tools such as molds and inserts.
Plastic for high demands: polyamide 613
PA 613 is a thermoplastic polyamide powder that we are using for the first time in SLS technology. The material is a further development of PA 12 and is characterized by higher strength, rigidity and chemical resistance. PA 613 is resistant to moisture and chemicals such as acids, alkalis and solvents and retains its shape and dimensions even at higher temperatures. Thanks to its outstanding properties, PA 613 is a promising option for demanding applications in additive manufacturing.
