Dimensions for plastic components
Plastic components measuring up to 910 x 430 x 405 mm are produced in one piece in a single operation. Assemblies of any size can be produced by adding individual elements.
If components are too large for our construction space, the CAD data is cut by us and the components are glued by us after the construction process. The glued seam can be reinforced with glass fiber mats.
We generally manufacture in a layer thickness of 0.1 or 0.15 mm. The minimum wall thickness in Z is approx. 0.5 mm, for vertical surfaces approx. 0.7 to 0.8 mm. Both minimum wall thicknesses depend on the geometry. Please do not hesitate to contact us!

Design recommendations
If a construction plane is aligned at an angle of less than 20° to the X/Y plane, clear layers can be seen on the surface. The steeper the angle, the finer the steps.

0.1 mm gap for loose connections. Without a gap between a male and female component, an interference fit is created.

Powder removal
Residual powder should be removable. This is difficult with long and thin tubes and parts with complex internal structures. The easier the powder can be removed, the shorter the post-processing time.
Tolerances
The tolerances depend on the material used and the component geometry. In most cases, these values can be assumed:
- 0 to 100 mm: +/- 0.3 mm
- from 100 mm: +/- 0.3 % of the nominal dimension
Smaller tolerances may be possible depending on the component geometry (further consultation required). Geometry-dependent distortion is possible, as laser sintering is a thermal manufacturing process. The specified tolerances do not apply to bores. Bore dimensions are generally slightly smaller than required.
