Which 3D printing PA 11 variants are available?
We process two variants of the bioplastic polyamide 11. PA 1101 is white and can easily be dyed in a desired color. The mass-dyed polyamide powder PA 1102 black is ideal for highly stressed visible components.

Areas of application for SLS PA 11
PA 11 powder is used for the 3D printing of plastic components in various industries, both for prototype construction and for series products. One common field of application is the automotive industry. Polyamide 11 is ideal for the production of functional elements that require high material toughness (e.g. film hinges) and/or impact resistance. Therefore, components that do not allow splintering (e.g. in vehicle interiors) are among the typical areas of application.
Biobased SLS PA 11 powder in white
The white, slightly translucent, additively manufactured components made of SLS PA 11 are characterized by high impact strength and elongation at break. They do not splinter even under the highest mechanical stresses. Compared to PA 12, they have a higher temperature resistance and almost constant mechanical properties over a wide temperature range.
SLS PA 11 is a bio-based material (castor oil) and has a lowerCO2 footprint than petroleum-based polymers. Subsequent coloring of the white material is possible without any problems.

Low-CO2 SLS PA 11 powder in black
Components made from the mass-dyed polyamide 11 powder have a consistent black color and are therefore particularly suitable for visible parts subject to abrasive stress. They also have high impact strength and elongation at break and do not splinter even under the highest mechanical stresses. Compared to PA 12, they have a higher temperature resistance and almost constant mechanical properties over a wide temperature range.
100% proven quality and 0%CO2
The material PA 1102 black is based on renewable raw materials (castor oil). Due to its mass coloration, PA 11 black is also well suited for visible components subject to abrasive stress and manual manipulation.
