3D printing with PA 6
Dimensionally stable and wear resistant. Available as PA 6 black.
The plastic polyamide 6 is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic for which FKM has designed specially modified high-temperature systems with installation space dimensions of 375 x 375 x 539 mm for 3D printing. Until then, a layering process with PA 6 was not possible. 3D printing with PA 6 is mainly used in automotive engineering and automotive construction. The printed components are fully functional thanks to their good mechanical properties. At the same time, sintered objects made of PA 6 are dimensionally stable in temperature ranges between -30 °C and +120 °C and are also resistant to mechanical wear and to chemicals such as fuel and lubricating greases, which predestines PA 6 for use in vehicle construction.
The components that result from the professional laser sintering and prototyping of PA 6 in the black colour variant at FKM are fully serviceable and mechanically resilient.

Possible applications of PA 6
Since FKM made the thermoplastic powder PA 6 3D-printable, components from this material are primarily used in the automotive industry. It is used for project and development support as well as for fully functional prototypes or series applications.
