3D printing with PA 11

Extremely flexible and impact resistant. Contains renewable raw materials!

PA 11 is a polymer material with excellent properties that is produced from renewable resources. The bioplastic PA 11 combines good application possibilities with a positive ecological footprint thanks to the underlying castor seeds as raw material. The material is available in white and black. Subsequent colouring of the white material is of course possible. Components made from PA 11 are extremely flexible and at the same time impact resistant. Even temperature ranges from -40 °C to +130 °C can be withstood by sintered objects made of PA 11. This makes the material excellently suited for use in the automotive industry, for example.

The components produced during professional laser sintering of PA 11 at FKM are fully functionable and mechanically resilient.

Possible applications of PA 11

PA 11 is used for sintering functional prototypes as well as series products in a wide variety of industries. In the automotive sector, interior components are particularly worth mentioning, for which the material is very well suited. The sustainable polymer PA 11 allows permanently mechanically movable workpieces without any problems. PA 11 black is also suitable for abrasively stressed and manually manipulated visible components due to its mass colouring.
